In History, we have been studying all about the Maya.

Here are some of the amazing facts we have found out:

The Maya lived in Mexico and parts of Central America. They lived in places such as Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, the Yucatán Peninsula and El Salvador.

The Maya were amazing builders. They built huge pyramids, temples, palaces and ceremonial structures. This was especially impressive because they did not have metal tools!

Maize was extremely important to the Maya. They believed it was sacred and prayed to a Maize God.

The Maya also played a ball game called Pok-ta-Pok, which was similar to football. It was an important part of Maya life and was sometimes played as part of religious ceremonies.

In P.E., we are currently learning Tag Rugby in school and are also developing our swimming skills.

Our P.E. day is on a Monday and our swimming day is Wednesday.
